Liquivisc 2.5 mg/g Eye Gel is commonly used to provide lubrication and relief for dry and irritated eyes. This eye gel contains the active ingredient carbomer 980 (2.5 mg/g), which helps retain moisture and alleviate the discomfort associated with dry eyes.

  • Each gram of Liquivisc 2.5 mg/g Eye Gel contains:
  • Carbomer 980 (2.5 mg/g)
Please refer to patient information leaflet.
  • Dosage: For adults and children, the usual dose is one drop into each eye as needed, typically 3-4 times daily. Consult your healthcare provider or eye specialist for specific dosing instructions.
  • Administration: Tilt your head backward and look upward. Gently pull down the lower eyelid to create a small pocket. Squeeze the prescribed number of drops into the pocket without touching your eye with the dropper tip. Blink gently to distribute the gel evenly. Close your eyes for a moment to allow the gel to spread.
  • Duration: Use Liquivisc Eye Gel for as long as necessary to relieve dryness and discomfort, or as directed by your healthcare provider.
  • Special Populations: Consult a healthcare professional before using this medication in children or if you have any specific concerns related to your eye condition.
  • Use as Directed: Use Liquivisc 2.5 mg/g Eye Gel strictly according to the prescribed dosage or package instructions. Do not exceed the recommended dose.
  • Allergic Reactions: Discontinue use and seek medical advice if you experience any signs of an allergic reaction, such as eye redness, itching, swelling, or difficulty breathing.
  • Contact Lenses: Remove contact lenses before using the eye gel and wait at least 15 minutes before reinserting them.
  • Pregnancy and Breastfeeding: Consult a healthcare professional before using Liquivisc Eye Gel if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding.
  • Storage: Store the eye gel in a cool, dry place, out of the reach of children. Protect it from direct sunlight or excessive heat. Ensure the tube cap is securely closed when not in use.
