Daktarin Intensiv Cream - 15g

Daktarin Intensiv is a cream containing ketoconazole, which is used to treat fungal skin infections on the feet (Athlete’s Foot) or in the groyne area (Dhobe itch/tinea cruris). The cream is very effective in relieving the itchiness caused by these infections. It also provides long-lasting protection against Athlete’s Foot.

Athlete’s Foot is a common fungal infection that causes the skin between your toes to become red, itchy, flaky and/or cracked. It can cause an unpleasant “cheesy” smell. Athlete’s Foot typically occurs when warm, moist conditions cause the fungi that normally live on your skin to grow out of control.

Usage Instructions: 

First, wash the infected area and make sure it’s dry, especially between the toes if using the product on your foot or feet. Apply a thin layer of cream to the affected area and surrounding skin.

Wash your hands thoroughly after application.

Unless instructed otherwise by your doctor, apply the cream to the affected area 1-2 times per day.

Ingredients:

Active ingredient in 1 g of Daktarin Intensiv Cream is prescription strength: Ketoconazole 20 mg. Other ingredients are: Propylene glycol, stearyl alcohol, cetyl alcohol, sorbitan stearate, polysorbate 60, polysorbate 80, isopropyl myristate, sodium sulphite (E221) and purified water.

Warnings:

Do not use this product if you are allergic to any of the listed ingredients.

If you are diabetic or have recently used a cream, ointment or lotion on your skin infection that contains a corticosteroid, speak to your doctor before use.

Side effects may include:

• Redness
• A burning sensation
• Rash
• Pricking sensation
• Sticky skin
• Eczema
• Dryness
• Hives
• Bleeding

If you experience a severe allergic reaction, such as the peeling or blistering of skin, seek medical attention immediately.

Keep this medicine out of sight and reach of children. Do not use it after the expiry date.
