As the brand may vary, the ingredients will largely remain the same. The salt levels may change from brand to brand (this is the difference between dihydrochloride and hydrochloride).

  • Children aged 6 to 12 years: the recommended dose is 5mg twice daily as half a tablet, twice a day.
  • Adults and children aged 12 years and over: the recommended dose is 10mg once daily as one tablet.

Some side effects may occur but subside after a day or two. If you notice any serious changes please stop taking the medication immediately. If you have difficulty breathing, swelling of the face, neck, tongue or throat, see a doctor at once.
