  3. Prepare the medication: Glycerin Children 2g usually comes in the form of suppositories. Remove the suppository from its packaging, ensuring that it remains intact and undamaged.
  4. Position your child: Lay your child on their side with their knees bent towards their chest or have them lie on their back with their knees drawn up. This position helps facilitate the insertion of the suppository.
  5. Insert the suppository: Gently insert the suppository into your child's rectum. You can apply a small amount of water-based lubricant to the tip of the suppository to ease insertion, if necessary. Insert the suppository until it is fully inside, usually about half an inch to one inch.
  6. Encourage your child to relax: Ask your child to remain calm and relaxed while the suppository dissolves. You can distract them with a comforting activity or engage in a soothing conversation to help keep them at ease.
  7. Wait for the bowel movement: The glycerin in the suppository works by softening the stool and promoting bowel movements. Within 15 to 30 minutes, your child may feel the urge to pass stools. Encourage them to use the bathroom when this occurs.
