The quantity of feed and dilution should be determined by a clinician or dietitian, based on the age, body weight, and medical condition of the infant. Always use the scoop provided; note that the scoop colour may change from time to time.

Powdered formula is not sterile and should be prepared immediately prior to feeding. Do not boil the formula, and do not use a microwave oven to prepare or warm the formula.

Aptamil Pepti Syneo preparation instructions are different from Aptamil Pepti to preserve Bifidobacterium breve M-16V. One level scoop (provided) equals approximately 4.6g of powder. Add one level scoop to every 30ml (one fluid ounce) of water for the recommended feed concentration.

  • Wash hands thoroughly and clean the preparation area. Sterilise bottles and teats according to manufacturer’s guidelines.
  • Boil fresh water for five minutes or until an electric kettle switches off. Pour the required amount into the sterilised bottle, cover with cap, and cool to room temperature.
  • Fill the provided scoop with powder and level off with a clean, dry knife. Do not press powder into scoop. Use only the provided scoop.
  • Add the prescribed number of scoops to the water. Replace the cap and shake until dissolved.
  • Check temperature by placing a few drops on the wrist before feeding. Use immediately after reconstitution.
  • Discard any formula remaining in the bottle after one hour. The formula must not be rewarmed during feeding.
  • Scoop weight: One level scoop provides 4.6g of powder.
